A form was filled in, a lead was created, and the week moved on. The owner thought marketing would reach out, or the lead landed among twenty others. Nothing in the Leads list says which ones are still untouched.

Say how far back to look and what counts as a response:
Find leads created in the last 7 days with no call, meeting, logged email or task since they came in. Show the owner and age. After I confirm, create a first-contact task for each owner, due today.
It reads the leads by Created Time, then the calls, meetings, logged emails and tasks on each one. It shows the leads with nothing logged, grouped by Lead Owner, with how many days old each one is.
When you approve, it creates one task per lead, linked to the lead and assigned to its owner. You can change the subject or due date before approving, or drop leads from the list.

How to do it by hand in Zoho CRM
You can do this in Zoho CRM yourself. Here are the steps.
- Open the Leads module and create a custom view with Created Time in the last 7 days.
- Add the Lead Owner and Last Activity Time columns.
- Open each lead that looks untouched and check its calls, meetings, emails and tasks.
- Create a task on each lead that needs one and assign it to the owner.
The view narrows the list, but each lead still has to be opened to see what was really done.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it change my leads?
No. It creates tasks, and only after you approve the list. Lead fields, status and owners are not edited.
What does it read in my CRM?
Leads created in the period you name, and the calls, meetings, logged emails and tasks related to each one. It works from what your CRM recorded.
What counts as a first response?
A call, meeting, logged email or task on the lead since it was created. You can change that in your request, for example "count only calls and emails".
Can it be wrong?
It can list a lead that was contacted outside the CRM: a call made from a mobile and never logged looks the same as no call. Its check for existing tasks looks at what exists when you ask; it is not a lock. Glance at the list before you approve.
Can it create tasks for leads with no owner?
Every lead in Zoho CRM has an owner, even if it is a placeholder user. If many leads sit with one placeholder owner, give them real owners first: see Assign new leads to the right owner.
Will it work on my Zoho CRM edition?
It needs a Zoho CRM edition and user profile with API access, and it can only do what your profile is allowed to do. This use case has not been checked edition by edition yet, so write to us if you want to check yours first.
