Create a Zoho CRM deal from a client request

The Zoho CRM AI Assistant reads a client request you paste or the email you have open, finds the contact and account, and checks for an open deal. Once you approve, it creates the deal with only what the request says.

Zoho CRM AI Assistant is a Chrome extension that opens beside Zoho CRM. Tell it what you want to do in plain language, and it works with your CRM for you. Try Plus free for 14 days, then stay on Free forever.

the problem

A client asks for a quote and the deal is not in the CRM yet

A request arrives by email or through a colleague: a name, a company, a number of licenses, a rough budget. Before anyone can work on it, someone has to search for the contact, check the account, make sure there is no open deal already, and type the deal in. Until then it lives in an inbox.

the solution

Paste the request. Check the deal. Approve.

Paste the request into the side panel, or open the email in Zoho CRM and click "Use this page", then ask:

Create a deal from this request.

The assistant searches Contacts and Accounts for the person and company in the request. If it finds them, it uses them; if not, it proposes a new contact or account for you to approve too. Before proposing a deal, it checks the account for an open deal, and shows it to you if there is one.

It then proposes the deal: Deal Name, and Amount and Closing Date only when the request states them. A field the request does not mention is left empty, not guessed. If your CRM requires a field the request does not give, such as Stage or Closing Date, it asks you for it.

Nothing is written until you approve. You can edit any value on the card first.

  • Reads the request text, Contacts, Accounts and open Deals.
  • Writes one deal, and a contact or account only if none exists, after you approve.
  • Its check for an existing deal looks at what exists when you ask; it is not a lock.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it create duplicates?

It searches for the contact, the account and an open deal on that account before it proposes anything, and shows you what it found. Its check looks at what exists when you ask; it is not a lock, so two people creating the same deal at once can still both succeed.

What does it write to my CRM?

One deal, linked to the contact and account. A new contact or account only if it found no match and you approve it. Nothing else is changed.

Where do the amount and closing date come from?

Only from the request. If the request says "around 18,000", it proposes 18,000 and tells you where it came from. If the request gives no budget, the amount stays empty. If it gives no date and your CRM requires one, it asks you instead of picking a date.

Can it read the email for me?

Yes. Open the email in Zoho CRM and click "Use this page", or paste the text. An email logged on a contact or lead can also be read from the record, one email at a time and up to about 2,000 characters, so a long thread may be cut short.

Can it be wrong?

Yes. It can misread a name, a company or a number in free text, and "end of the month" can be read against the wrong month. Check every field on the approval card before you approve.

Will it work on my Zoho CRM edition?

It needs a Zoho CRM edition and user profile with API access, and it can only do what your profile is allowed to do. This use case has not been checked edition by edition yet, so write to us if you want to check yours first.
